John Beuscher, 77 years old died at 12:45 o'clock this afternoon at the home of a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs Edgar Randolph, 232 East Apple street, after an illness of one week. Mr. Beuscher became ill last Tuesday at 824 North Ninth street East Side and was removed at that time to the Randolph residence in East Apple Street.
Mr. Beuscher was born May 10 1862 at Saarbrucken, Germany. While in his teen years he learned the baker's trade and when 19 years old he came to America, settling in Chicago, There he assisted an uncle in moving houses, and a year later secured employment in the steel mills at McKeesport. In 1883 he came to Connellsville and entered the employement of H. C. Frick Coke Company as a miner. He retired 1923 with 40 years service.
He was married in 1886 to Pauline Seeboth, who preceded him in death in 1925. To this union five children were born, four of whom survive. A son, Peter died in 1932. The surviving children in addition to Mrs Randolph are, John Beuscher Jr, of Dickerson Run, Mrs Henry Schwarzkoph of Pittsburgh and Mrs Frank Martin of Connelsville. He also leaves two brothers, Joseph and Baptist Beuscher, both of this city, 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

The funeral of John Beuscher will be held Thursday morning with a prayer at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs, Edgar Randolph, 232 East Apple street at 8:30 o'clock followed by requiem high mass at 9 o'clock at Immaculate Conception Church. Rev Henry Geibel pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be made in St Joseph's cemetery.
