Floyd A. Parker, 87, of Marshall, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1990, at John Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan 7, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home. Rev. Warren LaRose will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Soutside Assembly of God Church.
Born July 12, 1902, in Urbana, Mo., he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva Arnold Parker. On Dec 24, 1928, in Miami, MO., he married Magdalene Coates, who preceded him in death on Nov., 28, 1979. He attended the Southside Assembly of God Church. Mr. Parker was a resident of Marshall since 1928 and farmed in Missouri most of his life.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Parker of Overland Park, Kan., and Joseph Parker of Marshall; two daughters, Mrs Thomas (Mary) Smith of Marshall, and Mrs Phillip (Evelyn) Lewis of Independence, MO.; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Charles Parker of Columbia, Mo., and Rev. Paul Parker of Nelson; one sister, Mae Parker of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by two brothers and two sisters.
