Founder and owner of Flowerpatch Designs, New York City, Robert Gasper enjoyed a distinguished career in the Apparel Industry and the Decorative Design area of the Home Furnishings Industry. Apparel clients included Adele Simpson, Oscar de La Renta, Geoffrey Beene, Bill Blass and Liz Claiborne. He became the owner of a horse farm (circa 1755) in Rhinebeck, N.Y., which led to breeding of Egyptian-Arabian stock and a unique line of drawings and bronze horse sculpture. Robert also enjoyed painting and sculpting.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, James Andrew Lefaiver.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. John J. Gasper, Painesville, Ohio; and two sisters, Mary Ellen (Meg) Loncharic, Erie, and Margaret Lefaiver and her husband, Lawrence, Oak Forest, Ill.; aunt, Roseanne Cook, Phoenix, Ariz.; and many dear nieces and nephews and cousins.
Interment at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
