Julia Mae Medley, 84, of Broseley, MO, died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Southbrook Nursing Center in Farmington, MO. She was born July 10, 1930 at Broseley and had lived at Broseley all of her life. She was formerly a member of Little Vine General Baptist Church, and of Fisk General Baptist Church. She currently was attending Black River General Baptist Church.
On October 17, 1948 she married James Alfred Medley in Oklahoma City, OK. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2005.
Mrs. Medley is survived by one son: Dennis (Pat) Medley of Bonne Terre, MO; one son-in-law: Allen Kinworthy; one brother: Wilbur J. “Bud” (Louise) Allen of Poplar Bluff; one sister: Opal (Bob) Rothlisburger of High Ridge, MO; two grandchildren: Eric (fiancé-Jennifer) Kinworthy, Jason (Vicki) Medley; three step-granddaughters: Brandi (Ben) Boyer, Tommie (Jim) DeClue and Lacy (Jeff) Arndt; nine great-grandchildren: Ethan, Liz, Elliott, Riley, Jasmine, Issiah, Cooper, Zeke and Juliet.
She was also preceded in death by her parents: James Isaac and Ruby Syvilla Baucum Allen; one daughter: Miriam Kinworthy; one brother: Otis Allen; one sister: Virginia Griffin
Visitation will be at 6:00 PM Friday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders and Rev. Greg Whittle officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery.
