George was the son of Agnes (Michels) Albrecht. His father died in Germany and his mother came to the US on March 1873 with her children Horst, George, Johanna, and Rosa Albrecht. Her daughter Clara Augusta Beyrich was already living in this county and one point George, two of his siblings and his mother were found living with his sister Clara Beyrich.

George applied for naturalization and was naturalized on Oct. 16, 1876 in Kings Co., NY. He married Mary Ann Leo/Lee Feb. 12, 1880 in Manhattan, NY.

George's children were Martha, John, Lena, Ida, George, Joseph, Benjamin Christian b. Jan. 21, 1891, Dora b. July 1892, Hennrietta, Harry b. Jan. 1896, Marion, Edward b. abt. 1901 and Jennie b. abt. 1904.
