Uncle Bill took his young family to California to seek work, he landed a job as a worker in a logging mill and retired from there. However, every year about thereafter they "loaded up the truck" and went back for a visit so he and his wife could visit their Moms. Uncle Bill was a long time member of the Elks Lodge and the Methodist Church.

Uncle Bill was quite a character, he loved a good joke and scaring people. Aunt Bo was countless times his victim. He would wait until she was busy doing something and goose her in her sides to hear her squeal. I learned to watch behind me whenever he was around!
