Thelma Marie Moore, 81, R.R.1, Waldron, died Sunday, May 19, at 2:30 a.m. in the Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Moore, a retired school teacher, was born Feb. 6, 1904, in Shelby County, the daughter of Dora and Jessie Strahm Baker. She was a teacher in the Shelby Eastern School District and retired in 1970. She had attended the Blakers' Teachers College in Indianapolis, and also taught at the Union Township in Noble Township, in Waldron, before retiring.

On July 1, 1936, she was married to Ralph Moore, Sr., and he preceded her in death June 23, 1954. She was a member of the Waldron Baptist Church, the Waldron Senior Citizens Club, and the Noble Township Extension Homemakers.

She is survived by two sons: Ralph and Robert Moore, both of R.R.1, Waldron; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

The services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul, with the Rev. Robert Hampton officiating and with burial in the Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
