She spent her early years in Essex, Missouri, and Rolf, Iowa.
The family moved to Mountain View, Missouri in 1935.
She was a graduate of Mountain View High School class of 1940.
She married William Evan Polk on August 18, 1941, in Willow Springs, MO.
To this union were born two children – William Sterling "Billy" and Joyce Elaine. Her pride and joy was her granddaughter. Her eyes lit up when her great grandson, walked in the door. She will live on forever in her new great granddaughter, whom sadly she did not get to meet.
Eulalia lived by the philosophy, "If you don't like it, do something about it. If you can't do something about it, then move on. Don't worry about it or sit and complain." She lived that philosophy and was always involved in doing what she could to improve her community.
Through the years, she was involved in PTA, Extension Club, the Senior Citizen's Center board of directors, Community Betterment, Chamber of Commerce, the Arts Council, and the Mountain View Healthcare board.
She loved to organize and used that skill to organize many activities, fundraisers, the quilt show, the Christmas craft show, the lawn and garden show, cookbooks, and much, much more.
She is survived by her daughter, her granddaughter, her great grandchildren, two sisters; one brother; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain View.
