Funeral services for Daniel Booker Marsh, Jr., 81, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Central Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Mike Meadows officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. at San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home Funeral in Livingston, Texas.

Daniel was born on November 24, 1932 in Troy, Kansas to parents, Daniel Booker Marsh, Sr. and Katie (Hartmann) Marsh and passed away on September 4, 2014 at his home in Livingston, Texas. Dan proudly served his country in both the Army and the National Guard. He had many passions in life, including his love for John Deere tractors, it didn’t matter the size, large or small. Dan was a licensed ordained minister and also served as Deacon at Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed bailing hay, listening to Southern Gospel Music, and loved the time he spent with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If there was one word to describe Daniel Marsh, that word would be “Faithful.”

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Katie Marsh; brothers, Warren Marsh, Cliff Marsh, and Bob Marsh; and beloved wife, Ann Marsh.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Marsh III and fiancé, Gwen, Tim Marsh and wife, Christie, and Allen Thomason; daughter, Cheryl Fuller and husband, Louis; grandchildren, Skye Dawn Marsh, Kenny Gurley and wife, Jeanette, Jonathan Gurley and wife, Mary, April Spell and husband, Jay, Robert Fuller, and Leah Ritchie and husband, Jim; great-grandchildren, Rush Hudson Gurley, Ashtyn Gurley, Andrew Gurley, Jacob Dike, Lilly Spell, London Spell, Emma Ritchey, and Tara Ritchey; brothers, Roger Marsh and wife, Mabel, Chester Marsh and wife, Naomi, Walter Marsh and wife, Jean; sister, Margaret Benford and husband, Harold; along with other numerous family and friends.

Dan will be escorted to his final resting place by pallbearers, Kenneth Gurley, Jonathan Gurley, Robert Fuller, Jay Spell, Jim Marsh, and Jim Chaplin.
