Jerry Lynn Riddle, 53, Norman resident died, Monday, September 8, 2014 in Norman, Oklahoma. Jerry was born June 27, 1961 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Johnnie (Smith) and James Riddle.

Jerry was a former Seminole and Wewoka resident currently living in Norman, Oklahoma. He was formerly employed with the Seminole Public Schools from 1981 to 1992 when he retired and moved to Norman.

Jerry was very instrumental in getting the” Mary Rippey Violent Offenders Act” passed with the State of Oklahoma legislature. He was a huge Oklahoma University fan and loved to keep up with Seminole Chieftain Football. He was currently taking care of the swimming pool and the apartment complex that he lived.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Johnnie Riddle of Norman, Oklahoma, sisters Sheila Egge and her husband Walter of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Johnnie Henry and her husband Marvin of Wewoka, Oklahoma, nephew, Tony Hery of Wewoka, nieces Jerris Egge of Wilburton, Oklahoma and Chelsea Egge of Wewoka, Oklahoma, one great nephew, Kaynaan Henry of Holdenville, Oklahoma and a multitude of close friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Dixie Smith of Wewoka and Glady’s and Luther Riddle of Holdenville, Oklahoma and his father James “ Jimmy “ Riddle of Holdenville, Ok.

Private family burial services will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
