Clara Lang

Funeral services for Clara Lang, 79, Lindale, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 14, at the Hilliard Funeral Home Chapel, Van, with Rev. Kay Pulley officiating. Burial was in the Union Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Lang died August 11, 1999, in a Tyler hospital.
She was born February 9, 1920, in Myrtle Springs. She had been a resident of Van Zandt County and Smith Counties for 67 years and had lived in Lindale for 33 years. She was a member of Life of Glory Church in Lindale and a homemaker and housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Exton Cleophas Lang in 1996.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Gailia Lang, Lindale, and Duane and Betty Lang, Troup; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and James Rackley, Lindale; brother, Jake Bates, Wills Point; sisters, Mary Mewbourn, Lindale; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbeares were David Hugh Bates, Wylie L. Manyard, A.J. Harney, Henry Lee Bates, Carroll Golightly ad David Mewbourn. Honorary pallbeares were nephews.
