RONCEVERTE (RNS) David Albert Deaver, 80, died at his home at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday after a long illness. Born at Ronceverte April 30, 1889, he was the son of the late Thomas and Esta Green Deaver.

He was a member of the Teaberry Baptist Church, a retired farmer and a former Ronceverte policeman.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dollie A. Deaver; five sons, Gordon A., address unknown, Clayton and Carl, both of Ronceverte, Grady of Pasadena, Calif., and Harvey of Lexington, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret McCarthy of San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Dorothy Lemons of Charlottesville, Va.; two brothers, Thomas and Roy both of Lewisburg; a sister, Mrs. Pansy Thompson of St. Augustine, Fla; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be a 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Chapel of McCraw Funeral home in Lewisburg with Rev. John Martin in charge. Burial will be in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-9:30 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be Harry Adwell, Howard Mann, Barton Ott, Kenneth O’Brien, Doc Waugh and Calvin Wheeler.
