Russell K. Patterson, III, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Born February 1, 1953 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Russell Kuhns and Audrey Faye (Gilbert) Patterson, Jr. He was the wife of 26 years to Beth Ann (Jones) Patterson whom he married November 7, 1987.
Russell graduated from the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in the Class of 1972 where he still remained as an active class advisor. He was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation where he was a printer for more than 33 years. His memberships include the Pennsylvania Society Advancement of the Deaf and the Greater Harrisburg Association for the Deaf. Russell greatest passion was riding his Harley, camping and spending time with family.
In addition to his wife, Russell is survived by two children, Ned P. Patterson and wife Dawniela of Pendleton, IN and Tania A. Patterson-Wilson and husband Jason of Frederick, MD; one brother, Barry Patterson and wife Bonnie of New Cumberland, PA; a sister, Nancy Shank and husband Gary of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; mother-in-law, Frances Jones and sister-in-law, Ellen Grace Jones-Pachuilo and husband Patrick D. Pachuilo.
Friends and family are welcome to attend Russell’s graveside service which will be held 2:00PM, Friday, September 12, 2014 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Harrisburg.
