Charles "Duwain" Scroggins, 70, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Garden Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Charles was born Jan. 12, 1944, in Greenville to Floyd L. Scroggins and Glenna Mozell Carter Scroggins. He was married to wife, Roberta Scroggins, on Sept. 19, 1991. Charles graduated in 1962 from Greenville High School. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He worked for Foremost Milk for 32 years where he retired on March 18, 1990. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mozell Scroggins; first wife of 25 years, Ethel "Gwen" Scroggins; and sister, Rhonda Gail Scroggins. Survivors: Wife, Roberta; daughters, Wendi Baker and husband, Monte, Christina Meek and husband, Joel; sons, Wade Scroggins and wife, Jennifer, Rodney Ballard; brother, Billy Wayne Scroggins and wife, Mary Sue; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill Hanson and Thelma; brother-in-law, Ronald Bolton; brother-in-law and wife, Billy and Patti Hanson; sisters-in-law, Rose Lee and husband, Terry, and Pat Griffith; six granddaughters; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
