Mr. Wesley Bernard Tebeau, age 77, died peacefully on January 11, 2002, surronded by loved ones after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born June 29, 1924 in Warren, MI, son of Celestine "Silas" Benard Tebeau he graduated from Union High School in Grand Rapids, MI where he was a state champion wrestler. He earned his wings in the U.S. Navy, then attended the University of Michigan where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 1949. In 1950, Wes married Mary Lou Dove who preceded him in death in 1990. In 1991 he married Emma Jean McGowan, who survives him. He co-owned the L'Aiglan Restaurant in Muskegon in the 1950's, then managed radio station WMUS in the early 1960's. In 1966, he joined the West Michigan Tourist Association in Grand Rapids, MI where he retired as President in 1988. Wes loved community theater, S.C.O.R.E., tennis, cold beer, cheap cigars, Muskegon State Park, picnics & parties with his family & friends, vacations in West Michigan, Wolverine football, & the sweet things in life like Necco Wafers & Brandy Alexanders.

Wife, Emma Jean; children, Weston (Kris) Tebeau of FL, Tracy (Don) Kirksey of North Muskegon, MI, John (Colleen) Tebeau of Ann Arbor, MI & David Tebeau of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Amanda & Ian Kirksey, Jamie & Randi Tebeau; brothers, Robert (Ruth) Tebeau & Jerry (Jane) Tebeau, both of Grand Rapids, MI. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou Dove in 1990, brothers, Silas & Bill & by a son, Rick.
