"James Vent Aldus had a son named James Calvin Aldus. He was born April 29, 1896. He worked at a lumber yard when he was young taking care of the team of horses that delivered the lumber. He later worked in the Thomaston Lime Quarry and was eventually a farmer. He was drafted into the army on August 9, 1917 and served under the third infantry during WWI. He died April 19, 1965."
