NEW LONDON - Thomas W. Lauther, 79, died May 28, 1950, in his home in New London, He had been in poor health for two years.
He was born Sept. 18, 1870, in New London, a son of John and Janet Robertson Lauther. On Feb. 19, 1899, he married Amelia Snyder. She died March 3, 1916
Mr. Lauther was a farmer. He attended New London Methodist of Rome Lodge, BPOE. and a past Master of New London Lodge 420 F&AM. He also was a member of the Square Club.
Mr. Lauther had been an assessor for the city of Rome and served as Town of Rome highway commissioner.
Surviving are one son, Guy T., two daughters, Mrs. N. B. Scott, Blossvale, and Mrs James Clark, Rome; a sister, Miss Nellie R. Lauther, New London, two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the funeral home of Griffin & Aldridge with the Rev. George Dando officiating. Burial will be in Rathbunville Cemetery.
