Tammy Ann (Bennett) Wallace
March 18, 1961 – Sept. 1, 2014

On Sept. 1, 2014, Tammy Ann Wallace went home to be with her Heavenly Father. She was at home surrounded by her family.

Tammy was a true warrior who fought to the very last minute. She saw the good in all things and was the first to offer a helping hand. You did not even have to ask. It is unknown how many people she helped with her daily updates on her incredible journey. She made a “Bucket List” and her family made sure that it was completed. Once it was completed she started a new one. She said, “Got to have a plan and things to do." Her last wish: Disneyland. Thanks to her friends and family, that wish came true. Disneyland rolled out the “Red Carpet” for her.

Tammy’s final wish was that the Tehachapi Cancer Foundation would flourish and help hundreds of people. Friends and family will make that happen.

Tammy loved life itself.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Jim Wallace; two daughters, Brittany and Stephanie; one son, Tony; and a stepson, Damian. Also left to mourn her passing are her three brothers, one sister, and five grandchildren. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Noralyn and Albert Bennett; and grandson, Isaiah.

There will be a Celebration of Life in her hometown, Santa Maria, on Sept. 13; and in Tehachapi at the Dorner's Vineyard in Stallion Springs, at 1 p.m., on Sept. 27.

In lieu of flowers, let’s help keep Tammy’s dream alive by donating to the “Tehachapi Cancer Foundation," 21920 Lily Ct., Tehachapi, CA 93561. Flowers wither and die, but dreams live forever. Arrangements were made with the assistance of Wood Family Funeral Service, Inc. For condolences please visit woodmortuary.net.
