Keisha Lynn Alexander was born on March 19, 1965 to Rebecca Cherokee Alexander and Walter Arthur Alexander at Fitkin Hospital, now known as Jersey Shore Medical Center, in Neptune, NJ. The third oldest of six girls Keisha was known for energetic personality, beautiful smile and her ability to bring out the best in anyone she came in contact with.
Keisha attended the Long Branch School system and graduated from Long Branch High School in 1983. After graduation she embarked on a career in the medical field eventually settling on becoming a phlebotomist and would often make it clear that she was the best “sticker” that ever did it!
Keisha was the mother of two wonderful children Guido S. Roque Jr. and Kenya Tracy Jenkins who were her pride and joy. Keisha was also a proud grandmother to Psyear J. Roque and Avry A. Roque. She was also a much loved auntie of Rashond, Toni, Troy, Mark, Ronette, Darren, Aaron, Len, Dion, Nayquawna, Marquita, Shaun, Alexis, Ajee, Jamie, Jamisha, Dante, Shante, Ron, Ronnie, John, Eddie, Jazsmine, Terrel, Michael, and Teana. She was a great aunt to NyÂ’Quasha, Urmajesty, Daquan, NaÂ’Quan, Raeshawn, Zyquere, Daviyon, Cortney, Kadija, Tulia, Troy Jr. ,SaÂ’Nearah and Jayden..
Keisha is survived by five sisters who will miss her deeply. Yvette, Kim, Laurel, Tiffanie and Rose. She is also survived by her devoted Uncle Saladin, her best friend and cousin Cheryl Bell and a host of Aunts, Uncles and a multitude of beloved friends.
In every waking hour we decide who we are going to be. What path we are going to take and what outcome we are striving to fulfill. KeishaÂ’s life was a sterling example of living according to your own dreams, visions and happiness. Of all who knew her you cannot find one person who was not touched by her amazing spirit and connection to influencing a life that is complete and comfortable based on your needs. She lived life on lifeÂ’s terms.
