Nancy Wade (Regan) Lombard, of Belmont, MA passed away peacefully Saturday, March 27th.

She was surrounded by her family and leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Langdon Frothingham Lombard, a daughter, Catharine Eugenia Lombard Eastman and son in law Peter Eastman of Redwood City, CA., a son, Langdon Lombard Jr., daughter in law Jessica Lombard and two grandsons Alexander and Andrew of Gardner, MA, and a sister, Catharine Crowell Regan Silverman of New York, NY.

Born in Washington, DC on June 16 1941, daughter of Cynthia Crowell Regan and Air Force Col. Harvey Wade Regan, she studied art history under Mildred Brown and graduated with honors from Holton Arms School in Bethesda, MD. She graduated cum laude from Randolph College (formerly Randolph-Macon Women's College) in Lynchburg, VA, majoring in English literature and minoring in history. She was a founder of and teacher at Queen Anne School in Upper Marlborough, MD, and continued teaching after her marriage to Langdon in Andover, MA in June 1972.

She was an active and enthusiastic member of the choir and parish of Christ Church Cambridge, MA, and an avid amateur photographer of nature and her family. She was an extraordinarily warmhearted, gentle and loving person with a wonderful sense of humor and wit. She was a wonderful mother, loving and devoted wife, caring sister, and friend to many.

Her Memorial Service will be held June 14, 2010 at Christ Church Cambridge. Donations in her memory may be made to Christ Church, 0 Garden Street, Cambridge MA 02138 or the Development Office, Randolph College, 2500 Rivermont Avenue Lynchburg, VA 24503.
