The son of Ira M. Jarman and Mary "Leona" Sawyer, "Buck" married Evelyn Irene Booth on 20 Aug 1931 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were the parents of 4 children.

The Jarmans moved to Macoupin County, Illinois around 1939, and later moved to Madison County, Illinois.

Buck was a carpenter. He worked from Carpenter's Local 377 for 31 years. He retired in 1972.

At the time of his death at Alton Memorial Hospital, Buck was 79 years, 10 months and 1 day old.

He was survived by his wife, Evelyn; 1 son, Dean Jarman of Grand Prairie, Texas; 2 daughters, Ruth Warhoover of Sunset Hills, Missouri, and Barbara Elledge of Bunker Hill, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert Jarman of Vici, Oklahoma; and 3 sisters, Nettie Enlow of Seattle, Washington, Hazel Bane of Vici, and Mabel Campbell of Woodward.

In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Betty Lou Busse; 1 grandchild; and 3 brothers.

Visitation was held on 02 Jul 1990 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, Illinois. Funeral services were conducted there at 10:30 a.m. the following morning.

The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to Concord Trinity United Methodist Church of Sunset Hills, Missouri.

Buck's wife, Evelyn, passed away in 2002 and was buried next to him.
