Jennie Dixon

WEBB CITY, Mo. — Jennie C. Dixon, 78, 515 N. Pennsylvania Ave., died at 1 p.m. Sunday at her home after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Mrs. Dixon was born July 14, 1914, at Carl Junction. She was a lifetime resident of Jasper County. She was a member of the Frisco Church in Webb City.

Her husband, Fred Dixon, died March 24, 1966.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Striegel and Betty Worsham, both of Joplin; a son, Ed Dixon, Hemet, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Hobson will officiate. Burial will be in the Carl Junction Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Babbitt, Steve Foreman, Jack Boulware, Bill Major, Ralph Costley and Kevyn Smith.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
