Joy Moore Sievertson, age 86 of Kingwood, TX formerly of Glen Dale, died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Rosemont Assisted Living Memory Care Unit, Kingwood, TX.
She was born November 20, 1927 in Moundsville, the daughter of the late Arch Moore, Sr. and Genevieve Jones Moore.
Joy was a volunteer at Reynolds Memorial Hospital for 40 years, a member of the Moundsville Order of the Eastern Star #86, Moundsville Women’s Club, Glen Dale United Methodist Church and the Strawbridge United Methodist Church, Kingwood, TX.
In addition to per parents she was preceded in death by her husband: William O. “Bill” Sievertson in 2010.
Survivors include one daughter: Donna J. (Edward) McClintock of Kingwood, TX; one son: Donald W. (Libby) Sievertson of Humble, TX; two brothers: Former WV Governor, Arch A. (Shelley) Moore, Jr. of Glen Dale and Harry W. (Alice) Moore of Moundsville; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 1:00pm at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville with Rev. John Morrison officiating.
A Memorial Service in Moundsville, will be held at a date to be announced.
