Again entered the navy April 8, 1918. Died in Naval Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., May 14, 1918. Body sent to Los Angeles, Cal., cremated, and ashes scattered on the Pacific Ocean. Survived by widow, Jesse McClain Burres, and children, Bruce, Walton, and Charles Burres Jr., Los Angeles, Cal.
