Howard A. Sloper, age 78, of 102 South Levitt Street, Rome, died Sunday, May 8, 1994, in Rome Hospital after a long illness.
He was born December 28, 1915, in Pulaski, New York, the son of Roy and Leva Admas Sloper. Mr. Sloper was educated in Pulaski. On October 9, 1937, he married Jessie H. Armstrong in the Calvary United Methodist Church. She died April 28, 1972. Mr. Sloper was employed by General Cable Corporation for over thirty years, retiring in 1970.
Surviving are one foster son, Richard J. Fiedler, North Carolina, one sister, Elsie Ripley, North Bay, one brother, Elmer Sloper, Waterloo, several neices and several nephews, including a special niece, June Clark, with whom he resided.
