LAURA F. ANDREWS, age 97 of Port Hope, passed away Saturday, September 06, 2014 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital.

She was born on January 1, 1917 in Tyre, to the late Nicholas and Eva (Swantak) Brzezinski. She and Melvin Andrews were united in marriage on September 28, 1940 in Ubly. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2002.

Laura was a member of Holy Name of Mary Parish – Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her children: Evelyn Gainor of Port Hope, Lorraine Wohlford of Harbor Beach, Ruth Rosdail and her husband Jay of Knoxville, Iowa and John Andrews of Bad Axe, 4 grandchildren: Jacob and Andrew Rosdail, Holly Wohlford and Joseph Wohlford, 3 great grandchildren: Sage Wohlford, Trevor Wohlford and Avery Rosdail-Weets, brother-in-law Stanley Pullom of Utica, and many nieces and nephews.

Laura was preceded in death by two sons-in-law; Dennis Gainor, Robert Wohlford, and siblings: Wanda Weinat, Florence Stocks, Grace Pollum, Rose Pollum, Gertrude Wruble, Tony Brzezinski, Ray Brzezinski, Eddie Brzezinski, and John Brzezinski.

Funeral mass for Laura will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Laura will be on Tuesday from 1-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11:30 am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Tuesday at 7pm in the funeral home.
