She was born in 1925 to Henri and Berthe Rivoire, her French born parents.
She is survived by her husband, Pitt; her four sons: Marc, Eric, Paul , Claude and eleven grandchildren.
She considered motherhood a full-time job and raised her children with a strong emphasis on their Catholic faith. She was steeped in Catholic theology, yet found time to appreciate opera, ballet, art, interior decorating and architecture.
Her husband's employment occasioned several moves and she managed well to organize moves from Chicago to Boulder, Colorado, then to Freehold, NJ then to Crystal Lake, IL and finally to Phoenix in 1980, where her husband retired in 1998.
