Tamara Sue (Nelson) Long, 50 of Kokomo, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2011 at the Emergency Room at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo.
She was born on July 2, 1961 in Kokomo to James Kenneth Nelson, and the late Wilma (Mussial) Nelson Woods.
Tammy graduated from Taylor High School in 1980 and from Ivy Tech in 1983 where she recieved her degree in Medical Management. In 1992 Tammy graduated from the Kokomo School of Practical Nursing. She married Michael D. Taylor Sr. and had a wonderful son Michael D. Taylor Jr. from their union. Later she married Gregory K. Long and had two more beautiful children Megan L. (Long) Kinsey and Macen C. Long.

Tammy is survived by her loving children Michael D. and wife Malinda Taylor of Union, MI, Megan L. and husband Kevin Kinsey of Indianapolis, and Macen C. Long of Union, MI. She is also survived by her father James Kenneth and wife Barbara Nelson of Sarasota, FL; sisters Reba Diana and husband Michael Oilar of Russiaville; Patty and husband Gary Jarvis of Russiaville, and a brother Alan Nelson of Tampa, FL
Four precious grandchildren Devon, Cameron, Riley, and Emma. Several Nieces and Nephews, and her canine companion Obie-UnkyDunk.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother Wilma Woods, step father Jim Woods and grandparents James and Dorothy Nelson, and Walter and Maude Mussial.

She will be forever loved, sorely missed, and never forgotten by her family and friends. In honor of Tammy's wishes she will be cremated and no services will be held at this time but a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be give to Dunnichay Funeral Home PO Box 50, Elwood, IN 46036 to help offset final expenses.
