Thomas W. Bax, 94, St. Elizabeth, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Care Center. He was born Nov. 19, 1898, in Miller County near St. Elizabeth, the son of Theodore and Elizabeth Risse Bax. He was first married April 7, 1937, to Lillian Robertson, who died on Sept. 26, 1944. He married again on Aug. 17, 1945, to Ruby Brasier, who died on June 2, 1988.
He was a retired farmer and meat processor.
Survivors include: one son, Jesse Bax, St. Elizabeth; one daughter, Nancy Bax, Kansas City; one brother, Otto Bax, Rolla; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth, and an infant daughter.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth with the Rev. John Degnan officiating. Burial will be in the Red Cemetery near Meta. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m.
