ANDERSON, Goldia Holdaway, 81, passed away Monday, September 15, 1997 at her residence in Independence, Va.

Born January 12, 1916 at Mouth of Wilson, Va., the Fox Community, to Lee Andrew and Sarah Ann Nieves Holdaway.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Independence, and also a member of Grayson County V.F.W. Post Auxillary #7726.

Surviving are her husband, Herbert Lee Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Jack L. and Ronnie Anderson, Charlotte, N.C.; granddaughter and spouse, Melanie and Scott Koenig, Elizabethton, Tenn.; grandsons and spouses Eric and Andrea Anderson, Seaside, Calif, Charles and Floy Anderson, Anderson, S.C.; two great-grandsons, Joshua and Daniel Anderson, Seaside, Calif.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lillian Hash, Lucie Wright, Kay and Fred Wellborn, D. L. and Helen Anderson, all of Independence, Logene and Dan Roberts, Roanoke, Herbert Lee Swanson, Woodbridge; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 17, 1997 at 2:30 p.m. in Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence, with interment in Independence Cemetery. The Rev. David Robert officiating. Graveside rites will be conducted by Grayson County V.F.W. Post Auxillary #7726.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Independence Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 607, Independence, Va. or Independence Vol. Fire Dept., P. O. Box 588, Independence, Va.  Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
