Albert John Bohlman, 82, of 708 Sunset Drive died unexpectedly on the afternoon of September 23, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Belvidere, where he had been taken by the Marengo Squad.

Mr. Bohlman was born to John and Olga Orschinske Bohlman on November 30, 1897, in Marengo. He and the former Flossie Town were married January 6, 1927, in Genoa.

Bohlman was employed in Rockford as a machinist in Rockford for 18 years and also farmed in the Marengo-Union area for 30 years until 1963 when he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Flossie, a daughter, Beverly (Calvin) Krupeski of Marengo, two brothers, Emil and Walter and two sisters, Minnie Henning and Emma Worf, all of Rockford and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Edith and Hilda.

Funeral services were held Friday at Osborne-Fashingbauer Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Wilson, pastor of Marengo United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Genoa Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Bohlman's name for the church.
