Connie Jean McKinney, 59, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Mausoleum Chapel with Gil Hiltbrunner of Jeremiah 33:3 Ministries officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St.

Connie was born May 28, 1955, in Somerset, Ky. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. Connie was a loving mother and wife. She was also a devout Christian. She loved reading her Bible and serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She instilled her Christian values in her children to give them hope and peace and loved sharing Jesus with those who needed encouragement. She attended Trinity Fellowship Church.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. She had worked at Levi Strauss and had a day-care in her home. She had also worked as a telemarketer.

She married Devon McKinney on April 2, 1978, in Amarillo.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Michael Garcia of San Antonio and Marcus McKinney of Amarillo; and her daughter, DeVona McKinney of Phoenix.

The family requests memorial donations to a favorite charity.
