Mrs. Ileta Mae Thompson Kinslow, 85, of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life suddenly on Friday evening, September 5, 2014, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.

Ileta entered this life on December 20, 1928, in Nampa, Idaho, one of four children born to the late Ernest Roy and Susan Alice (Henry) Prater.

She was raised and attended school in Boise, Idaho. On October 14, 1945 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Matthew Thompson and to this union four sons and a daughter were born. She and Matt moved their family to Anderson, Missouri, in 1954. Later in life she received her associate of Arts degree graduating in 1992 with highest honors from Crowder College. She was secretary and bookkeeper for various places including, Crowder College. Ileta also worked alongside her husband in the operation of TNT Trucking Company. She worked at Crowder College Title III for four years and served on the St. John's Auxiliary for five years. Ileta enjoyed reading her Bible daily and was a talented seamstress. She was a longtime faithful member of Tri-City Community Church and most recently, Trinity Worship Center in Goodman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd Matthew Thompson on August 31, 1987 and Willis Everett Kinslow on January 3, 2001; a son, Larry L. Thompson; and a sister Jo Spiers; three great grandchildren, Joshua Dobias, Zachariah Dobias and Reata Marsh.

Ileta is survived by three sons, Henry L. Thompson and wife, Shirley, of Rogers, Arkansas, Clifford R. Thompson and wife, Kay, of Goodman, Missouri and James L. Thompson and wife, Theresa, of Bentonville, Arkansas; a daughter, Karen Dobias and husband, Rodney, of Goodman, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest Prater of Las Vegas, Nevada and Paul Prater of Bastrop, Texas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Ileta will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Swift and Brother Ray Mayfield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Tracy Cemetery east of Anderson, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
