RICHMOND HILL - Gladys E. Bowers, 86, died June 17 at her residence.
Mrs. Bowers was born in Boston, Mass., and lived in Massachusetts most of her life. She was a graduate of the Worcester Harnemann Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester, Mass. She had a career in nursing for over 40 years and was a Head Charge Nurse at the Walter E. Fernald State School Hospital. She was a member of the Bourne United Methodist Church in Cape Cod, Mass.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy C. Hupper of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Judith A. Hilburn of Richmond Hill; son, Joseph Bowers of Manchester, N.H.; grandchildren, Bonnie Pariesi, Trisha Bowers, Amy Tavio, Nicole Bizzaro, Richard Lockney, Melissa King, David Lockney and Rebecca Hilburn; and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Old Bourne Cemetery, Cape Cod, Mass., at a later date.
