Thelma Doss, 89, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 1998.

She was a member of Clearbrook Brethren Church and a retired seamstress from Roanoke Mills.

Mrs. Campbell was the widow of Burnette Doss, and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Doss Gearheart.

Surviving are three grandchildren, Robin Ann Delpierre and husband, Phil of Gurnee, Ill., Robert Alan Gearheart, Columbus, Ohio, Lisa Renee Gearheart of Tallahassee, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Josh and Jennifer Delpierre, Christina Gearheart; a half sister, Minnie Hartman of Salem; and Guardian, Robert Gearheart of Homosassa, Fla.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from Sherwood Abbey Chapel, with Pastor Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel where the family will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday
