Roscoe D. Alford age 82 of Morgantown Ky., passed away Friday October 11, 2013 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Roscoe was born on September 2, 1931 in Butler Co. Ky. to the late Escoe and Mural Burden Alford. He was a member and deacon of first General Baptist Church in Shepherdsville Ky. and was retired from Kosmos Dale Cement and was a carpenter. Roscoe D. Alford is Survived by his wife Corrine Taylor Alford of Morgantown Ky., one daughter Sheila Mudd and husband Larry of Shepherdsville Ky., one son Eddie Alford of Shepherdsville Ky., One stepson Dempsey Henderson and wife Wilma of Nashville Tn., 3 grandchildren Marty Geary and wife Alicia of Shepherdsville Ky., Staci Adkins and husband Chris of Mt. Washington Ky., and Shelby Alford of Shepherdsville Ky. 4 step grandchildren Randy Henderson, Crystal Swope, Misty Henderson, and Kelly Henderson. 7 great grandchildren Brandon Adkins, Alexis Adkins, Tyler Geary, Emily Geary, Christian Adkins, Jacob Geary and Caleb Geary. 6 step great grandchildren Kama Lean Henderson, Brittany Swope, Michael Swope, Malaki Murphy, Daylan Murphy, and Kaden Murphy. 5 brothers Romie Alford and wife Cloa, Rovie Alford and wife Elaine, Ronnie Alford and wife Norma, Roy Alford and wife Judy, and Raymond Alford and wife Sharon. 2 sisters Ina Rae Gray and Inis Faye Huff and husband Stanley. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday October 14,2013 at The Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. James Burden and Bro. Marty Tucker officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Eden Cemetery in Shepherdsville Ky. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 13, 2013 from 12:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the Jones Funeral chapel and on Monday October 14, 2013 from 8:00 am till funeral time at 10:30 am at The Jones Funeral chapel.
