Obituary
Lawrence M. 'Larry' Vaughn, 90, of Linton, Indiana passed away with his loving wife by his side on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Lyons Health & Living Center. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 28, 1924, to Mack and Ella (Smith) Vaughn. Larry married Loretta G. Horn on June 4, 1971.
Larry was a WWII US Army Veteran and was awarded an American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with 4 bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Medal World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Coal City Fish and Game Club. Larry retired in 1980 from General Devices of Indianapolis, where he worked as a Salesman and General Manager.
Survivors include: his wife, Loretta G. Vaughn; son, Larry Gale (Patti) Vaughn of Fishers; two step-sons, Charles D. (Rhonda) Smith of Colfax and Brian C. (Barbara) Smith of NJ; step-daughter, Deborah S. (Robert) File of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Military Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
