Lynch, Ernest, W., 91, of Estrell Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on April 13, 2012 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. He was the husband of Flora M. (Minardi) Lynch.

Born in Haverhill, MA, a son of the late Ernest R. and Mary (Wilmot) Lynch, he lived in Riverside for 57 years.

Mr. Lynch was an assistant produce manager for the former Almacs Grocery Store for 25 years before retiring in 1982.

Ernest was a communicant of Holy Angel Church. He was a former member of the Bishop Hickey Council Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed reading, traveling and solving puzzles.

Mr. Lynch was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II where he was a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

Besides his wife of 60 years, he is survived by two brothers; Dr. Arthur W. Lynch of Plaistow, NH and Richard E. Lynch of Salisbury, MA and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angel's Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 4-7 pm.
