Mabel D. Yoder, 101, of Albany, formerly of Sheridan, died Friday at the Mennonite Home in Albany.

She was born in Columbiana, Ohio, the daughter of Daniel D. and Drusilla (Miller) Yoder.

Mabel moved with her family from Ohio to Kansas and on to Texas. At the age of 10, she moved to Oregon, settling in the Sheridan area. She lived in Sheridan until 1985, when she moved to the Mennonite Home in Albany, where she lived until her death.

Mabel enjoyed participating in painting classes at the Mennonite Home. One of the highlights of her life was taking a trip to Disneyland when she was 98.

Mabel was a charter member of the Sheridan Mennonite Church.

She is survived by sister Dorothy Good of Tangent and 13 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Melvin, Dennis, Elmer, Herald and Simon Yoder, and sisters Edna Byers, Laura Ekstrom, Esther Yoder and Elda Santoro.

Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheridan Mennonite Church Cemetery in Willamina. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Mennonite Home Chapel.
