Dennis L. Hixson, Sr., 68, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at his home.
Dennis was born on September 12, 1945 in St. Joseph to Harold and Gladys (Blakley) Hixson. He graduated from Fulton, Missouri’s School for the Deaf. Dennis worked at American Electric and was an avid bowler.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers.
He married Nancy Sue Leidy on June 5, 1970 in St. Joseph. She survives of the home.
Additional surviving family includes son, Dennis L. Hixson, Jr. (Chastity), sister, Phyllis Ross, brothers, Larry and Richard Hixson, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Private graveside inurnment at a later date.
