Arthur Hiram Morgan aka Arthur Morgan was the son of Thomas Morgan and Jane Dawson Morgan.

Arthur Morgan married Sarah Martha Harding, daughter of Robert Harding & Mary Martha Wade Harding, on March 22, 1824 in Shelby County, Indiana.

Arthur Morgan owned the land, where the Morgan Cemetery was located in 1859- St. Albans Township, Hancock County, Illinois. His mother Jane Dawson Morgan, wife of Thomas Morgan, is buried here. There is a granddaughter Anna Luella Snow buried here as well. She is the daughter of Milton and Mary Morgan Snow.

Arthur Morgan's 1859 obituary reads, "Arthur Morgan, 46 of Chili Township, died March 15, at the residence of James Carlisle, in Bear Creek. He had been attending circuit court in Carthage and was on his way home when he became ill. He stopped at Mr. Carlisle's and passed away there."

Arthur Morgan's Will was written March 11, 1859 at Bear Creek, Hancock County, Illinois while at the home of James Carlisle. The witnesses were the brothers Robert H. Carlisle and James M. Carlisle. In his Will, Arthur Morgan named his wife Sarah and their seven living daughters: 1) eldest Jane [aka Jane Morgan , who married Nelson Grimes Pew]; 2) next eldest Sarah Ann, [who married Warren Clark]; 3) next eldest Beulah Ann [aka Beulah Ann Morgan, who married James French]; 4) next oldest Mary, [aka Mary Morgan, who married Milton Snow]; 5) Almiry S. McCune [aka Almira Stevens Morgan, who married Calvin McCune] 6) Anna [aka Anna Henrietta Morgan married Marcus Lafayette Fite]; 7) Nancy O. Morgan [who married Wyatt S. Harding].
