Harry was born to Jacob Greiner and Jane (Rodgers) Hille in Franklin, Pendleton County. At the time of his birth, the county was located in Virginia, and now in West Virginia.
His siblings were: William Henry Hille, Edwin Johnson Hille, Margaret "Maggie" Hille Wheeler, Elizabeth "Betty" Hille Berry, George Clifton Hille, and Charles Pendleton Hille.
Sometime between the census of 1870 and 1880, the family moved to Jasper County, Missouri. Harry began farming and continued the profession all his life.
He married Alice Roberts May 2, 1900 in Jasper City, Jasper County, Missouri.
Their daughter was Dorothea Lee Hille. She married Earl E. Baker--they had 2 children.
Harry was survived by both his wife and daughter.
