Funeral services were held this morning for Mrs. J.S. Gover, 75, who died Monday morning at her home at Nancy after an illness of three months. Mrs. Gover was one of the best known and most highly respected women in her community, and her passing brings sorrow to many friends. She was a woman of splendid Christian character, a devoted wife and mother, and a kind and charitable neighbor and friend. Services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the Sardis Church with the Rev. Smith Gilmore and the Rev. Osborne officiating. Burial took place in the Whitis cemetery. Surviving are her husband and nine children as follows: Wythe Gover, Willie Gover, Woodie Gover, and Clifford Gover, all of Shepola, Mrs. Fielce Daulton, Nancy, Mrs. C.C. Gillespie, Science Hill, Mrs. O.D. Smith, Cynthiana, Mrs. E. Rice, Shepola, and Clarence Gover of Frazer. Sympathy is extended members of the family in their bereavement.
