William H. Denny was better known in the tattoo world as tattooed attraction Capt. Harry De Coursey. He was tattooed by Old Martin Hildebrandt and Stephen Lee in 1880.

"Capt. Harry De Coursey (William H. Denney), an old dime tattooed man died at the Lebanon Hospital, New York City, Nov 1, from a complication of diseases. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, 2."

As an aside, photos of Harry Decoursey have been mistakenly identified as Martin Hildebrandt. There are actually no known photographs of Hildebrandt. See the Ronald G. Becker digitized collection on the Syracuse University site for a photo of Decoursey: Unidentified Tattooed man 0023.
