Mr. Schafer was born September 12, 1985 in Austin, Texas to Richard and Beth (White) Schafer. He married Victoria Komorowski on April 3, 2010 in Fredericksburg, Texas.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for nine years. During his time in the Air Force he was in the 7th. AMXS Squadron and the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron. He was deployed three times, twice in the Middle East and once in Haiti. He worked at the Robertson Unit as a Correctional Officer. He enjoyed carpentry, guns, welding and landscaping.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother and fraternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Schafer. Children, Wyatt Andrew Schafer and John Luke Schafer all of Abilene. Parents Richard and Beth Schafer. Father-in-law and Mother In-law, Ted and Beth Komorowski of Abilene. One sister, Stephanie Taylor of Blanco, Texas as well as several nieces and nephews.
