Richard A. McChristy, 36, of Route 5, died at 11:46 p.m. Monday (Sept. 19, 1988) in Blessing Hospital's emergency room.
Mr. McChristy was born June 9, 1952, in Quincy, a son of Alvin "Ted" and Sally Haines McChristy.
Mr. McChristy was an electrical contractor at 20th and Jefferson and was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church and the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include a son and daughter, Ryan and Rhea McChristy of Quincy; his parents of Quincy; a brother, Stephen McChristy of Peoria; a maternal grandmother, Grace Haines of Lewistown, Mo.; and several aunts and uncles.
Mr. McChristy was preceded in death by a brother, Keith, on Sept. 1, 1973.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Wesley Wilkey. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the funeral home from 4 to 8 tonight and Thursday until time of service.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
