Harvey R. Hubbard 57, of Valparaiso passed away Wednesday February 2, 2011. He was born October 4, 1953 in Gary IN, to Robert "Bob" and Loraine (Hess) Hubbard and Graduated from Griffith High School 1972. Harvey had worked at U.S. Steel, Redenbacher Pop-Corn, and for the past 11 years served as a Production Maintenance Mechanic for Tootsie Roll in Ciecero IL. On his favorite days he could be found golfing with his longtime friends, cheering on the Cubs, watching NASCAR racing or sharing "game night" with the family. His love of music served as the impetus for creation of numerous CD's.
On June 19, 1982 he married Darlene Stanley who survives along with their children Brandy McLean of Fort Wayne and Morgan Hubbard of Crown Point, his mother Loraine Klingensmith of Valparaiso, sisters; Lora Hathaway of Valparaiso and Barbara Eldridge of Hobart; sister-in law; Sharon (Ron) Bullard of Dyer, Karen Stanley of TN, and Kathy (David) Henry of Valparaiso, brother-in-law Kevin Stanley of Hobart and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
Following cremation a memorial service will be held Saturday February 12, 2011 7:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. Memorials may be made to the Hobart Animal Shelter.
