Tony J. Oliver, 71, a retired maintenance supervisor with Niacet Corp. in Niagara Falls, died Monday (March 29, 1993) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
Oliver, of Swann Road, retired from Niacet in 1982 after working in its Royal Avenue plant for 10 years. He had worked in the storeroom for 37 years when the plant was owned by Union Carbide Corp.
A native of Dayton, Pa., where he had graduated from high school, Oliver also received career management training from Niacet. He moved to Niagara Falls in 1941 and later moved to Lewiston. His interests included gardening, hunting and bowling.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Fantrazzo; a son, Tony; two daughters, Jane Geracci of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Annette Streb; three sisters, Josephine Mancuso of Jamestown and Angie Viverito and Florence Casale, both of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Dominick of Niagara Falls and Joseph of Ford City, Pa.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 620 Center St. Prayers will be said at 9:15 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St., Niagara Falls.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
