Survivors include his daughters, Ester Aguirre of Santa Ana, Esperanza Armas of Fresno, Rebeca Torres of Imperial Beach and Maria Masoni of San Diego; sons, Arturo Armas of Tecate, Mexico, Rafael Armas of Chula Vista and Bernardo Armas of San Ysidro; brother, Felipe Armas of Mexico; 31 grandchildren; more than 70 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego.
