Martha Ann (Heath) Curtis, 67, of Sumner, Illinois passed away at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born April 26, 1947, in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Richard D. Heath, Sr. and Mary Ruth (Stevenson) Heath. She married Walter “Wally” Curtis on July 9, 1971, and he survives.
Martha was a homemaker. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Sumner.
Preceding Martha in death were her parents; one daughter, Connie Provines; one granddaughter, Vicki Provines; one sister, Susan, and two brothers Russell and John Heath.
Survivors include: her husband, “Wally” Curtis of Sumner; a son, Fred (Maura) Curtis of New York; a daughter, Lynn Like of Sumner; four brothers, Dave (Glenna) Heath of Sumner, Richard (Carol) Heath of Sumner, Jim (Julie) Heath of Olney, and Tom Heath of Lawrenceville; three sisters, Jo (Willie) Lynch of Olney, Edith (Darrell) Johnson of Lawrenceville, Mary (Randy) Helms of Flora, and one son-in-law Glenn (Cindy) Provines. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
